Kogi State Government charges Corps Members to Embrace Discipline during and after service year

By James Sani The Kogi State Government has charged Corps Members deployed to the state to uphold discipline and decorum during and after their service year. Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, gave the charge in a message delivered at the Swearing-in Ceremony of 2,926 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Corps Members deployed to the state at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Asaya, Kabba, Kogi State. Represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, the Governor urged the Corps Members to live positively and make meaningful contributions throughout their service year and beyond. “ My administration will work tirelessly to create job opportunities for unemployed youths in the state. Your welfare remains paramount to this government at all times,” Governor Ododo said. He noted that since the establishment of the National Youth Service Corps in 1973, the scheme has built lasting legacies in national development. The Governor further urged the Corps Members to participate actively in all camp activities and serve the nation with sincerity, loyalty, integrity, and accountability. He also called on them to support his administration in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State. In her remarks, the Kogi State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Chris-Moneke Chika Tochi, warned Corps Members to obey all camp rules and regulations. She also appealed to the Kogi State Government for sustained support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the camp.

Over 2,000 Corps Members are participating in the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation Course in Kogi State.
