Kogi Local Government Council Chairmen And Councilors Ends Tenure

All 21 local government chairmen and 239 councillors in Kogi State have officially vacated their offices today, Thursday, December 14, 2023, as their three-year tenure has come to an end.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. S.M Ozigi Deedat, has confirmed this development in a statement in Lokoja on Thursday.

These chairmen and councillors were sworn in on December 15, 2020, and have now successfully completed their term in office.

In light of this, Deedat extends his congratulations to the Executive Chairmen across the twenty-one Local Government Areas of Kogi State and wishes them well in their future endeavors.

“It is with great pleasure that we announce the departure of all 21 local government chairmen and 239 councillors in Kogi State. Today, on Thursday, December 14, 2023, their three-year tenure has officially come to an end. This significant milestone marks the completion of their dedicated service to the state.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. S.M Ozigi Deedat, has officially acknowledged the departure of the council chairmen and councillors.

It is worth noting that these chairmen and councillors were sworn in on December 15, 2020, and have now successfully fulfilled their responsibilities during their term in office. In light of this achievement, Deedat extends his heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Chairmen across the twenty-one Local Government Areas of Kogi State. Their commitment and dedication to their roles have been commendable.

As they embark on new chapters in their lives, we wish these esteemed individuals the very best in their future endeavors. May they continue to make significant contributions to society and thrive in their chosen paths.
