All 21 local government chairmen and 239 councillors in Kogi State have officially vacated their offices today, Thursday, December 14, 2023, as their three-year tenure has come to an end. The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. S.M Ozigi Deedat, has confirmed this development in a statement in Lokoja on Thursday. These chairmen and councillors were sworn in on December 15, 2020, and have now successfully completed their term in office. In light of this, Deedat extends his congratulations to the Executive Chairmen across the twenty-one Local Government Areas of Kogi State and wishes them well in their future endeavors.
