Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, has been honored as the Best Performing Commissioner for Information in Nigeria by the Advocacy for Youth Leadership in Governance, Nigeria.

The prestigious award was presented at the NUJ Press Centre in Lokoja, in recognition of Hon. Fanwo’s exceptional contributions to governance, transparency, and public communication.

During the event, the National President of Advocacy for Youth Leadership in Governance, Comrade Ajinomoh Abiodun, Mnin, commended Hon. Fanwo’s track record, describing him as an outstanding leader with integrity, charisma, and a strong commitment to service. He highlighted Fanwo’s exemplary leadership, administrative expertise, and dedication to effective governance, which have distinguished him among his peers.

“Your leadership qualities reflect vast experience in public administration, strategic communication, and youth empowerment. You are a result-oriented leader, a passionate advocate of internal democracy, and a promoter of peace and development. This award is a recognition of your hard work and impact in the Ministry of Information and Communications,” Comrade Abiodun stated.

Hon. Fanwo expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that it serves as a motivation to remain committed to excellence, transparency, and service to humanity. He reaffirmed his dedication to advancing public communication, fostering good governance, and driving human capital development in Kogi State.

Representing the Hon. Commissioner at the event, the Director of Information Services, Alhaji Seidu Haruna, commended the forum for recognizing individuals who have demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and service-oriented leadership. He congratulated Hon. Fanwo on the well-deserved award and lauded his transformative impact on the Ministry, particularly in infrastructural development, staff training, and welfare initiatives.

The event concluded with commendations from dignitaries and stakeholders, reinforcing the role of effective leadership and communication in governance and societal development.
