By Atuluku Samuel ‘One Good Term Deserves Another’ — Council Boss Hails Governor’s Performance The Chairman of Kogi Local Government Council, Hon. Musa Abdulmalik, has declared that the council remains peaceful, united and firmly behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo ahead of the forthcoming elections. Musa spoke on Monday while receiving the Workplace Security Campaign team led by the Special Adviser on Labour Matters, Comrade Onuh Edoka. He described the sensitisation campaign as timely and result-oriented, saying the Governor's performance, particularly in workers' welfare, speaks for itself. «“One good term deserves another. Kogi Local Government is a family local government, and we stand firmly with Governor Ododo and President Tinubu,” he said.» The Council Chairman commended Edoka and his team for taking the campaign across the state, while thanking Governor Ododo for approving the initiative. Also speaking, the NULGE Chairman in the area, Comrade Yakubu Mohammed, praised the Governor's workers' welfare initiatives and declared the workforce's support for his re-election and that of President Tinubu. Yakubu also passed a vote of confidence on Ododo, commending him for appointing former labour leaders, including Edoka, to strategic positions in government. The Kogi State NLC Chairman, Comrade Gabriel Amari, urged workers not to be deceived by “desperate politicians”, saying the Governor had done enough, particularly for workers, to deserve another term.
