The Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Engr. Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf, recently conducted an inspection of the ongoing Hassan Katsina Road Project (Zone 8-Crusher Road) in Lokoja.
During this inspection, he emphasized the importance of timely completion and urged the contractor, TEC Engineering LTD, to ensure that the project meets its deadline to avoid potential consequences such as losing future contracts in the state.
Engr. Yusuf identified technical errors during the inspection and urged for their immediate correction to maintain the quality of the project.
The Hassan Katsina Road Project, currently at 75% completion, plays a vital role in the economic development of the state as it serves as a gateway to the eastern flank and houses various government ministries.
The Commissioner highlighted the significance of meeting the deadline, reflecting Governor Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to enhancing road infrastructure for the betterment of citizens’ living standards.
He made it clear that the state government will not tolerate delays and that meeting the deadline is crucial for securing future contracts.
This inspection by the Commissioner demonstrates the state’s dedication to executing projects with high quality and ensuring timely completion.
Engr. Yusuf was accompanied by Engr. Alhassan Akubo, Deputy Director of Civil Engineering, and Engr. Anthony Sule, Technical Assistant to the Commissioner, during the inspection, showcasing a unified effort towards achieving project goals.
