KGSSTF Chairnan Joins Board Of Trustees Of Northern States Security Trust Fund

The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KGSSTF), Air Vice Marshal Omeiza Umar, DSS, MSS, FWC (Rtd.), has been appointed as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Northern States Security Trust Fund (NSSTF), marking another significant milestone in his distinguished career in public service and security administration.
The Board of Trustees was inaugurated on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, by the Northern States Governors under the auspices of the Northern States Governors’ Forum. The Board is co-chaired by Alhaji Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, CFR, and General Martin Luther Agwai, CFR two eminent Nigerians with vast experience in public administration and national security.
AVM Omeiza Umar’s appointment reflects the confidence reposed in his leadership, strategic vision, and unwavering commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture. It also recognizes his outstanding contributions to enhancing security collaboration, institutional development, and resource mobilization in support of law enforcement and other security agencies.
Since assuming office as Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, AVM Omeiza Umar (Rtd.) has repositioned the Trust Fund through purposeful leadership and strategic interventions. Under his stewardship, the Fund has expanded logistics support to security agencies, strengthened partnerships with critical stakeholders, promoted inter-agency cooperation, and initiated innovative programmes aimed at improving the security landscape in Kogi State.
His appointment to the NSSTF Board of Trustees is widely seen as a recognition of the remarkable progress recorded by the Kogi State Security Trust Fund and an affirmation of the important role the state continues to play in advancing regional security cooperation.
The Northern States Security Trust Fund is expected to serve as a strategic platform for mobilizing resources, fostering collaboration among governments, the private sector, and development partners, and supporting sustainable security initiatives across the northern region.
Reacting to the development, the Management and Staff of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund described the appointment as well deserved, noting that AVM Omeiza Umar’s wealth of experience, integrity, and dedication to national service would add immense value to the Board’s work.
The Management congratulated the Executive Chairman on the prestigious appointment and expressed confidence that his contributions would further strengthen the mission of the Northern States Security Trust Fund in promoting peace, security, and sustainable development across Northern Nigeria.
