INEC Upload: Kogi Deputy Gov Congratulates Erico, Urges APC Stakeholders To Close Ranks For 2027

The Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, has congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Kogi East, Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, following the successful upload of his name by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general election.

The Deputy Governor made the remarks when Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico, paid him a thank-you visit, after the confirmation of his candidature by INEC. He was later joined by the Auditor-General of Kogi State, Alhaji Yakubu Yusuf Okala, during the visit.

Speaking, the Deputy Governor described the successful upload of Erico’s name as a victory for the people of Kogi East, the APC, and democracy. He congratulated the candidate and appreciated Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his steadfast leadership and continued support for the unity and progress of the party in Kogi East.

Comrade Joel Salifu also expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the National Working Committee of the APC for respecting and upholding the choice of the party through a transparent process.

He said the primary election had come to an end and stressed that there should be no victor and no vanquished. According to him, every aspirant worked for the progress of the party and deserved respect.

The Deputy Governor therefore called on all APC leaders, stakeholders, supporters, and former aspirants in Kogi East to close ranks and work together to ensure the victory of Dr. Joseph Ameh Erico and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

He expressed confidence that with unity, commitment, and the continued support of the people, the APC would record another resounding victory across Kogi East and the state at large.
