The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo has called on the agencies under the Ministry to be united.

Hon. Fanwo gave the charge during the management meeting of the Ministry in his office.

He said that to be successful there should be unity among them, stressing that when there is unity, productivity and progress can be achieved adding that now that he is back he will see to it that everybody works hand in hand for the progress of the Ministry.

He expressed his gratitude to the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mr. Boniface Omakoji for maintaining peace and order during his absence.

The Commissioner said that the Ministry is going to experience positive turn around and new changes will be made for the betterment of the Ministry.

Earlier in his welcome address the Acting Permanent Secretary Mr. Boniface Omakoji appreciated the Governor of Kogi State Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the reappointment of Hon. Fanwo, describing it as a welcomed development for the State and the Ministry, adding that his coming back to build on the good works he has started.

Also speaking the Director-General Radio Kogi, Alhaji Ojo Ozovehe expressed his joy over the return of Hon. Fanwo saying that the Ministry is going to experience more development, optimistic that Hon Fanwo will improve on information dissemination in the State, stating that Radio Kogi should be his top priority and he should see to it that the transmitters are installed soonest maintaining that the out stations are still on air.

Responding the Commissioner, assured the Director-General that the transmitters will be installed soonest and that he has called on the contractors to double their efforts.

Also speaking the Director Printing and Digital Services Mr. Ebenezer Adurodija said that now that Commissioner is back, there is a need for the training and retraining of Information officers (PROs), reporters at Radio Kogi and the Graphic Newspapers and plans are on top gear to see the actualization of it.

The General Manager Graphic Newspaper Mr. Adekolade Samuel, the Director Accounts and Finance Mr. John Zekeri, the Director News and Publication, Alhaji Ademu Seidu, Director Budget and Research Mrs. Fatima Sanni, Director of Graphic Art and the Director Films and Archives also expressed their happiness over the return of Hon. Fanwo and they all enumerated what they had done so far and what they plan to do for the growth of the Ministry.

The Commissioner thanked everyone and promise to do more now that he is back for the general efficiency of the Ministry.
