Says Her Legacy Will Endure By Abah Benjamin Eneojoh July 30, 2026 Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Thursday attended the funeral service of late Chief Mrs. Ogah Ajuma Theresa at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Igalaogba, Idah Local Government Area, where he described the deceased as a woman whose life was defined by service, sacrifice and commitment to humanity. Speaking during the service, Governor Ododo, represented by his Deputy, His Excellency Comrade Joel Salifu, said the late Chief Mrs. Ogah lived a fulfilled life and left behind a legacy that would continue to inspire generations. He said her contributions to the growth of the Igala Kingdom, especially as a former National Women Leader of the Igala Cultural Development Association (ICDA), would never be forgotten. According to the Governor, Mama Theresa was a strong advocate of unity, culture and selfless service. He noted that she dedicated herself to promoting the values and traditions of the Igala people while empowering women to contribute meaningfully to the nation. He sympathize with the Ogah family, urging them to take solace in the impactful life she lived and remain united in preserving the values she stood for. The Governor prayed for God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give her family, the Igala Kingdom and all loved ones the strength to bear the loss.
