By Amodu Ojochogu Gloria The Kogi State Honorable Commissioner for Works Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat, has inspected the ongoing construction of the major access road to the Kogi State Airport, as well as the Airport Terminal construction site, to assess the progress of work and ensure compliance with the approved standards. During the inspection, the Commissioner urged the contractor handling the projects to adhere strictly to the stipulated timeframe for completion and ensure that all construction works are carried out in line with the laid-down rules, regulations and specifications of the Kogi State Government. He expressed satisfaction with the progress of work so far, noting that the quality and pace of development at the sites reflect the commitment of the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo-led administration to providing durable and quality infrastructure for the people of the state. Barr. Deedat, emphasized that the airport project is a significant infrastructure development capable of opening up Kogi State to greater economic opportunities, attracting investors and enhancing the state’s visibility nationally and internationally. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Works to effective monitoring and supervision of government projects, stressing that the Ododo Administration is determined to deliver quality infrastructure that will positively impact the lives of the people and further place Kogi State on the global map.
