By Rotimi Odofin Lokoja, July 22, 2026 – The Kogi State Fiscal Responsibility Commission has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting transparency, accountability and prudent financial management in public institutions with a courtesy, verification and interface visit to the Kogi State Ministry of Health. The Commission's delegation was led by the Director of Policy and Strategy, Mallam Abubakar Tanimu Musa, and included the Secretary to the Commission, Barr. Ayo Emmanuel, as well as the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Bello Joseph. Speaking during the visit, Mallam Abubakar Tanimu Musa said the exercise forms part of the Commission's ongoing statewide verification and compliance programme aimed at educating Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) on the implementation of the Fiscal Responsibility Law and ensuring adherence to fiscal responsibility principles. He explained that the Commission's engagement was designed to assess compliance levels, strengthen accountability mechanisms and encourage MDAs to institutionalise prudent financial management, transparency and effective governance in the execution of government programmes. Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Coordinating Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, were the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Maji Enoch, alongside the Director of Administration, the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics (PRS), and the Director of Accounts. Speaking on behalf of the Coordinating Commissioner, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Enoch, welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to responsible governance, accountability and prudent management of public resources.
