The Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Alhaji Mouktar Atimah, along with his team, conducted an assessment visit to areas affected by flooding along Ajaokuta Road at Ganaja Village, LGA Primary School, Gadumo Camp, and St. Luke’s Camp in Adankolo.

During the visit, the Executive Secretary of SEMA emphasized that the current administration, led by Governor Usman Ododo, is unwavering in its dedication to achieving seamless flood disaster management. The team’s primary objective was to evaluate the water levels along Ajaokuta Road at Ganaja Village and inspect drainage channels to prevent water overflow that could impede vehicular traffic.

Additionally, the team visited Gadumo and St. Luke’s Camps, where the Executive Secretary assured Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) that Governor Usman Ododo’s administration is fully committed to good governance and the well-being of all flood victims.

During an assessment visit to the IDP camps in Ajaokuta LGA and Lokoja LGA, the Executive Secretary urged all flood victims to adopt a maintenance culture to ensure the proper utilization of facilities provided by the Kogi State Government in the camps.

“We are here to reaffirm Governor Ododo’s unwavering commitment to alleviating the impact of the floods on the victims,” Atimah stated.
