P.S. Kogi Ministry of Health Charges Staff to Demonstrate Dedication and Commitment towards Achieving Health Sector Goals

By Rotimi Odofin The Permanent Secretary of the Kogi State Ministry of Health, Mr. Maji Enoch, has called upon the Ministry's staff to exhibit diligence and dedication in their roles, emphasizing the critical importance of the health sector in Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's administration's efforts to deliver quality healthcare to the state's residents. Mr. Maji Enoch made this call during a familiarization visit to the Ministry's nine departments. He highlighted that the visit aimed to gain insights into each department's activities and to motivate staff to excel in their duties, thereby contributing to the overall development and achievement of the state's health sector objectives. He reiterated his commitment to understanding the operations of each department and identifying areas requiring attention to address any existing gaps. Mr. Enoch also cautioned against tardiness and absenteeism among Ministry staff. In his briefing, the Director of Accounts and Finance, Alhaji Salihu Idris, advocated for the renovation of dilapidated office accommodations and the provision of larger office spaces. During the visit, the Director Health Planning Research and Statistics Mr. Johnson Aiyedogbon reaffirmed that the Kogi State Ministry of Health's Structure is in perfect alignment with the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare's health management structure and operations saying that the Department is very committed to ensuring both efficiency and effective delivery of the health sector overall development objectives. The Permanent Secretary used the occasion of his visit to express profound gratitude to the Honourable Coordinating Commissioner for Health Dr Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza who has been piloting the affairs of the state health sector in an excellent partern and for creating the best conducive environment in the sector.
