By Gloria Ojochogu Amodu As part of the Kogi State Government’s commitment to ensuring quality infrastructure delivery, the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Hon. Barr. Salami Ozigi Deedat carried out an inspection of the ongoing 17-kilometre Otokiti–Ganaja Dual Carriage Road Project, on 8th July 2026. During the inspection the Commissioner carefully assessed the progress and quality of work being executed by the contractor, he stressed the need for the contractor to improve the pace and overall quality of execution to ensure that the project meets the high standards and specifications set by the Kogi State Government. Hon. Barr. Deedat expressed dissatisfaction with the pace and quality of work carried out, he directed the contractor to immediately improve performance and ensure strict adherence to the project’s specifications, quality standards, and completion timeline, Failure to that will make the State Government to revoke the contract and give It to another contractor. The Commissioner reaffirmed the Kogi State Government’s commitment to delivering durable and high-quality infrastructure, emphasizing that substandard work would not be tolerated and that all contractors must meet the expectations of the administration and the people of the state.
