By Segun Adegboyega The Permanent Secretary of the Kogi State Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr Tijani Awulu has stated that information dissemination is key to governance. He emphasized that government activities, policies, programmes and achievements are to be well captured and published to avoid disinformation and misinformation. The Permanent Secretary gave the charge during his familiarisation visit to the Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, The Graphic Newspaper and Kogi Government Printing Press in Lokoja on Thursday. Mr Awulu encouraged the management and staff of the parastatals to continue to put in their best in order to project the image of the state through effective, efficient, accurate and timely reportage of government's activities, policies, programmes and achievements. He urged them to continue to carry out quality jobs they have been doing, noting that The Graphic Newspaper, and the Radio had been very effective, stressing that their impact has been felt even beyond the state. He assured them that their challenges and welfare would be favourably addressed through the Hon Commissioner of the Ministry to His Excellency, the Chief Servant of the state. The Permanent Secretary described the Commissioner, Kingsley Fanwo as a humble, committed and dedicated personality who is always ready to listen to people and put in the best to get excellent results.
