The Permanent Secretary said the Ministry’s doors remained open to communities seeking government intervention on healthcare-related matters, assuring the people of Adankolo that their concerns would receive prompt attention.

He described Adankolo as an important community in Lokoja, the state capital, and stressed that the state government was committed to improving healthcare delivery for residents across the community.

Mr. Maji Enoch urged the Adankolo Traditional Council to formally submit its request for the upgrade of the existing Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) to a secondary healthcare facility in writing.

He explained that a formal letter would enable the Ministry to properly process and consider the community’s request through the appropriate channels.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Apostle Daniel Bala, said the advocacy visit was aimed at seeking government intervention for the upgrade of the community’s primary healthcare centre to a secondary healthcare facility.

Apostle Bala, who conveyed the message of the Royal Highness, the Etu of Adankolo, expressed appreciation to the state government for its attention to the healthcare needs of the community.

He expressed optimism that the Ministry of Health would take the necessary steps towards upgrading the facility for the benefit and wellbeing of residents.

According to him, the present condition of the clinic was a source of concern, noting that the facility was in poor condition and required urgent government intervention to meet the healthcare needs of the growing population.

The advocacy visit was facilitated by Pastor Gabriel Atuluku, a Community Health Services Officer with the Ministry of Health and Coordinator of Climate Change in the Ministry.

The delegation was led by Apostle Daniel Bala, the Madaki of Adankolo, and Chief A. A. Abu, representing the Etu of Adankolo Community, alongside Mallam Audu Ndaseidu, the Anajukow, among other members of the traditional council.
