By Rotimi Odofin The Kogi State Ministry of Health has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring quality and accessible healthcare services for residents across communities in the state, in line with the healthcare vision of the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. The Honourable Coordinating Commissioner for Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Maji Enoch, gave the assurance when he received a delegation from the Adankolo Traditional Council in his office in Lokoja. The Permanent Secretary said the Ministry's doors remained open to communities seeking government intervention on healthcare-related matters, assuring the people of Adankolo that their concerns would receive prompt attention. He described Adankolo as an important community in Lokoja, the state capital, and stressed that the state government was committed to improving healthcare delivery for residents across the community. Mr. Maji Enoch urged the Adankolo Traditional Council to formally submit its request for the upgrade of the existing Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) to a secondary healthcare facility in writing. He explained that a formal letter would enable the Ministry to properly process and consider the community's request through the appropriate channels. Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Apostle Daniel Bala, said the advocacy visit was aimed at seeking government intervention for the upgrade of the community's primary healthcare centre to a secondary healthcare facility.
