The Kogi State Government has expressed deep concern over the sluggish progress of the Odenyi-Oguma-Sheria road and bridge construction project.

The State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Engr Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf, conducted an inspection visit to the project site in Oguma, Bassa local government area, where he expressed disappointment with the current state of affairs.

Hon. Yusuf criticized the lack of professionalism and the indifferent attitude displayed by the contractor, which has resulted in significant delays in the project.

He urged the contractor to expedite the work to ensure its completion before the onset of the rainy season.

Hon. Yusuf reiterated the state government’s unwavering commitment and the determination of His Excellency Alh Usman Ahmed Ododo to fulfill its promises of improving the lives of the people in the area.

He assured the community that efforts were being made to expedite the project completion.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Bassa Local Government, Mr. Theophilus Adama, expressed gratitude to the state government for the project but highlighted the urgent need for faster progress.

He appealed to the government to facilitate the timely completion of the project.

Furthermore, a local resident, Comrade Dangara Daniel, commended the state government for the visit and urged them to intensify their efforts to ensure the swift completion of the project.
