Kogi State Security Trust Fund (KGSSTF) has presented six refurbished patrol vehicles to key security and public safety agencies in a renewed effort to strengthen security operations and enhance public safety across the state.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, the Executive Chairman, Kogi State Security Trust Fund, Air Vice Marshal Omeiza Umar, DSS, MSS, FWC (Rtd.), said the gesture was in furtherance of the Trust Fund’s mandate to provide critical logistics support to security agencies for improved service delivery.
AVM Umar emphasized that the refurbished patrol vehicles would boost operational efficiency, improve response time, and enhance collaboration among security agencies in safeguarding lives and property throughout Kogi State.

He charged the beneficiary agencies to make judicious and responsible use of the vehicles by ensuring proper maintenance and deploying them strictly for the purposes for which they were provided.
“These vehicles are public assets procured to enhance security and public safety. I urge the beneficiary agencies to use them efficiently, maintain them properly, and ensure they contribute meaningfully to the fight against crime and the protection of lives and property,” he stated.

The Executive Chairman expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for providing the enabling environment and unwavering support that have continued to empower the Trust Fund in fulfilling its statutory mandate.
According to him, the Governor’s commitment to strengthening the state’s security architecture has enabled the Trust Fund to sustain its intervention programmes through the refurbishment and procurement of operational equipment for security agencies.
The six refurbished patrol vehicles were presented to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Radio Kogi all of whom received the vehicles with appreciation.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kogi State Command, Commandant Aletan Olumide Ebeneezer, commended the Kogi State Government and the Kogi State Security Trust Fund for the timely intervention, describing the vehicles as vital operational assets that would enhance surveillance, emergency response and the protection of critical national assets.
Similarly, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kogi State Command, Corps Commander, Lawan F Fagge, expressed gratitude to the Trust Fund for the support, noting that the vehicles would strengthen road safety operations, improve emergency rescue services and contribute to safer highways across the state.

Also speaking, the Director-General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, Process Hajiya Hawa Nana Yusuf, thanked the Executive Chairman and the management of the Trust Fund for extending the intervention to the state-owned broadcast organisation. He noted that the vehicle would greatly facilitate news coverage, public enlightenment campaigns and the dissemination of timely information, particularly on security and emergency-related issues.
The beneficiaries unanimously appreciated the gesture of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund and pledged continued cooperation, collaboration and support towards sustaining peace, security and public safety across Kogi State.
The presentation further underscores the commitment of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, under the leadership of AVM Omeiza Umar (Rtd.), to strengthening the operational capacity of security agencies and strategic public institutions through the provision of essential logistics in support of the security vision of the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
