By Abah Benjamin Eneojoh Government House, Lokoja Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has received commendation from the Igbo Community Association (ICA) in Kogi State for his inclusive leadership style and unwavering commitment to the welfare of all residents, irrespective of ethnic background. The commendation came recently during the 2026 Sallah Homage paid to the Governor by a delegation of the Igbo community at the Government House in Lokoja on Saturday. The delegation, led by the President-General of the ICA, Chief Matthew Nwafor, included political appointees of Igbo extraction serving in the Ododo administration, members of the association's executive council, traditional chiefs, former leaders, women and youth representatives, as well as other key stakeholders. Speaking during the visit, Chief Nwafor expressed the community's appreciation to Governor Ododo for creating an atmosphere of inclusion and belonging for Ndigbo living and conducting business in Kogi State. He particularly lauded the Governor for his recent donation of ₦50 million towards the renovation of the Igbo Community Hall in Lokoja, describing the gesture as a demonstration of genuine leadership and commitment to fostering unity among the various ethnic groups in the state. According to him, the visit was also an opportunity to celebrate the Sallah season with the Governor and reaffirm the Igbo community's support for his administration.
