By Musa Solomon Kogi Ministry of Education on Friday 19th of June held a Sensitisation Meeting for Education Stakeholders in the Western Senatorial District of the State for the 2025/2026 Annual School Census. The programme which was held in Saint Augustine College Kabba drawn participants from Traditional Institution, Education Secretaries, Erea Education Evaluators, Civil Society and None Governmental organisations, School Principals and Proprietors of schools and other stakeholders in the Zone. Addressing the gathering, the State Commissioner for Education Hon. Wemi Jones called on the proprietors and principals to cooperate with the Ministry for the successful conduct of the Exercise. He stated that any School that fails to participate in the Annual School Census will be doing a great disservice to not only the learners but also the school, adding that failure to participate means the learners in that schools will not have Learners Identification Number. According to him, "Annual School Census is more than a routine survey as it is a powerful tool in shaping the future of Education. Schools, Communities and Government must work together to ensure accurate data collection and analysis " He said that every figure provided in the Annual School Census represents a child, a teacher, a classroom and ultimately the future of the State. The Commissioner represented by the Education Secretary Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, Elder Joshua Idowu Ologboyo said with accurate data the Government can identify gaps, address challenges or measure progress.The census according to him is a Compass for charting the right …
