If You See Something, Say Something – Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs

By Olajumoke Ajani Kogi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello has charged the Chairmen of the 21 Local Government Areas of the State on enlightening the masses on the importance of reporting suspicious activities in their various localities. He gave the charge during a meeting with the Local Government Chairmen in Lokoja. The Commissioner, citing the recent foiling of a planned retaliatory attack in the State disclosed that security is everyone’s business and information is key to the effectiveness of intelligence driven fight against insecurity. He stressed the importance of teamwork, urging all to be vigilant and to adopt the watchword, ‘if you see something, say something’. Observing that Kogi State Government has invested immense resources in the security architecture of the State, the Commissioner commended the giant strides of the Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo in keeping peace and maintaining harmony as well as Governor Ododo’s determination towards ensuring security of lives and property of Kogites. Kogi State ALGON Chairman and Chairman, Yagba West Local Government Area, Hon Tosin Olokun commended Governor Ododo’s initiatives in tackling insecurity and reiterated the Chairmen’s commitment towards achieving a safe and secure Kogi State.
