Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has approved the appointment of Prof. Avidime as the Provost of Confluence University of Science and Technology Teaching Hospital.

Until his appointment, Prof. Avidime was the pioneer Chief Medical Director, Reference Hospital Okene.
As a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Professor Solomon Avidime is a renowned Nigerian academic and medical professional.
Professor Avidime has made significant contributions to the field of medicine, particularly in the areas of reproductive health, maternal and child health, and infertility.
Meanwhile, the Governor has also appointed Dr. Shuaibu Stephen Babatunde as the new Chief Medical Director of the Reference Hospital Okene.
The statement added that while Governor Ododo congratulated the Appointtees on their respective new assignments, the appointments are with immediate effect.
