Gov. Ododo All Kogi Campus Games 2026: Planning Committee Charged to Ensure Successful Tournament

The thirteen member committee for the maiden edition of the Governor Ododo All Kogi Campus Games has been charged to be dedicated and highly committed to the forthcoming event.

The Kogi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, gave the charge while receiving members of the committee in his office for an update on their level of preparedness so far.

Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe said the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has given its full support to the success of the programme, adding that he would do everything possible to ensure the games succeed.

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development called on committee members to identify areas that would foster sportsmanship, particularly given that this is the first edition of the tournament.

Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe assured the committee of his office’s commitment and support to ensure the tournament comes to fruition, and charged members to work collectively for the betterment of the event.

The Commissioner commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for endorsing the All Campus Games initiative and assured the Governor of his loyalty and dedication to the growth and development of youth and sporting activities in the state.

Speaking at the meeting, the Co-Chairman of the All Campus Games, who is also the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Momoh Stephen Azeez, promised that the committee would do its best to ensure the success of the programme.

In his remarks, the Committee Chairman of the All Campus Games, Comrade Micheal Achor Joshua, disclosed that a subcommittee has already been set up to ensure the smooth running of the forthcoming games in the state.

Comrade Micheal Achor Joshua expressed profound appreciation to Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, for finding them worthy of the responsibility, and assured them of the committee’s overwhelming commitment and dedication to the success of the programme in the state.
