The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has been commended for his payment of the WAEC Fee for final year students in public secondary schools.

This commendation was made by the Transition Committee Chairman, Mallam Musa Abdulmalik, during a maiden meeting with principals of Local Government secondary schools in his office at Koton Karfe.

Mallam Abdulmalik, who acknowledged the significance of this gesture, emphasized that it would undoubtedly alleviate the financial burden on parents.

He further urged the students to redouble their efforts in order to achieve outstanding results.

The Chairman also urged the principals to instill moral values in their students and to guard against exam malpractice and other vices that hinder educational growth in the area.

During the meeting, the principal of Aseni, Mallam Mamud Itodo, the principal of the Girls School in Koton Karfe, Mallam Abdullahi Shaibu, and Mallam Usman Abdullahi of Girinya, all expressed their congratulations to the Chairman on his appointment.

They also pledged their unwavering commitment to the revitalization of the educational sector.
