Residents of Okene and it’s environ has been assured of adequate and uninterrupted portable water supply by the Kogi State Government.
The State Commissioner of Water Resources, Engr. Yahaya Mohammed Danladi Farouk, gave the assurance when he paid a working visit to Okene Water board and Ekuku Water work facilities.
Engr. Farouk promised to tackle the lingering water scarcity in the area, added that henceforth resident will enjoy steady in flow of water supply in Okene and its environs.
The Commissioner said, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo is very much concern about the well-being of Kogites and the challenges faced in water sector in recent times. I can assure you that His Excellency will deliver on his campaign promises.
Mr. Akande Nathaniel who is in charge of the water facilities commended, the commissioner for his visit to Okene metropolis.
In his Statement, Nathaniel said “I believe your coming will give water sector a different dimension and our people will enjoy the dividend of the new administration “.
