The Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, is currently attending the 19 Northern States Governors Forum meeting at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Go vernment House in Kaduna State. The purpose of this meeting is to address the pressing regional challenges faced by the Northern states.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Comrade Joel Salifu, Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, is representing Governor Ododo at the forum.
The primary focus of the forum is to tackle regional issues such as insecurity, out-of-school children, poverty, and socio-economic challenges. This gathering highlights the forum’s proactive approach to engaging stakeholders and addressing urgent concerns.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State, Chairman of the Forum, is leading the meeting, which is hosted by Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State. Other attendees include governors from Nasarawa, Zamfara, Adamawa, Kwara, Borno, and Bauchi states, as well as Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa.
In addition, prominent traditional rulers like the Sultan of Sokoto, Shehu of Borno, Emir of Zazzau, and Ohinoyi of Ebira land are also present at the meeting.
Through collaborative efforts, the Northern Governors Forum is committed to driving transformative change and improving the lives of citizens in the region.
