KOGROMA COMMENCES ASPHALT OVERLAY ON TOWNSHIP ROADS In Kogi

The Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency(KOGROMA) has commenced asphalt overlay in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government area as part of the ongoing first phase of the approved road rehabilitation and reconstruction projects spanning 100 kilometers across eight Local Government Areas in the state .

The Projects, a signature initiative of the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo is aimed at gradually giving good roads to people at the grassroots to improve the standards of living in the rural areas.

These initiatives highlight Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s dedication to transforming Kogi State and improving the lives of its citizens, building on the progress made by Former Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.

The Ododo Administration has decided to engage KOGROMA to test the capacity of the Agency in delivering quality roads to the people of Kogi State. So far, the Agency has delivered excellently across the project sites.

Aside the direct labor projects undertaken by the state owned agency(KOGROMA), Contractors are also simultaneously executing other road projects through the state Ministry of Works, thereby turning the state into a construction hub.

It is believed that most of the road projects will be ready for commissioning during the First Year Anniversary of the Ododo Administration.

The ongoing road projects across the state, underscores Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to delivering quality road infrastructure, as his administration has embarked on various road projects to enhance infrastructure and foster economic growth throughout the state.

The Administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has expressed commitment to enhancing rural roads quality in order to boost agriculture, which is one of the critical sectors the administration has been identified as an economic game changer.

In his reaction, the Executive Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area, Hon. Tosin Olokun hailed the Governor for giving Egbe a “massive facelift”.

Hon. Olokun said the massive support received by the Governor shows the confidence the people have in him, insisting that the Governor is already repaying the confidence of the people.

He said, “Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has blazed the trail by embarking on projects with direct bearing on the rural people. Our people are very happy that the Governor has brought development to their doorsteps.

“You could see the joy across the Local Government Area. Our Governor is giving us joy”, Olokun said.

The Local Government Chairman, who is also the ALGON Chairman in Kogi State also urged the people to cooperate with officials of the Kogi Road Maintenance Agency and ensure that the infrastructure is not destroyed by saboteurs.
