The Kogi State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has pledged the state government’s continued support and partnership with the Nigerian Institute of Building.

In a meeting with the state chapter executives of the Institute in Lokoja, Hon. Abanika Taiye assured them of the government’s commitment to quality service delivery in all sectors, especially in infrastructural technology.

He emphasized the importance of working together with the Builders of the State for the progress and growth of Kogi state.

The state chairperson of the Nigerian Institute of Building, Builder Modupe Obafemi, highlighted the theme of this year’s Builders Week as “The Role of the Builders in Sustainable Housing Delivery” and expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Hon. Abanika.

Builder Obafemi also called on the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to involve them in the state’s development plans.

As part of the Builders Week activities, the association visited project sites, including the Federal University Lokoja, to assess the progress of their projects in the state.
