The Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Dr Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, has urged the Governing Council of Kogi State University (KSU), Kabba, to focus on establishing a solid foundation for the institution.
She stated this in a meeting held at her office in Lokoja, where she stressed the importance of ensuring that the university is built on a strong academic base.
This, she explained, would enable KSU to effectively compete with other institutions and achieve academic excellence.
Mrs. Ayoade highlighted the need for dedication to duty, using the Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Suleiman Sadiku, as a prime example.
She commended the council for their visit and wished them a safe journey back.
In response, Professor Sadiku and the Vice Chancellor, Professor Kehinde Eniola, assured the SGS of their unwavering loyalty and commitment to establishing the institution in a manner that honors God, the founding fathers, and the people of Kogi State.
