The Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation, a parastatal under the Ministry of Information and Communications, is excited to announce the launch of its 24-hour broadcast operation, beginning Monday, December 16, 2024.

This announcement was made by Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the State Commissioner for Information and Communications.

“Thanks to the significant investments made by the Chief Servant of Kogi State, I am pleased to announce that 94.1 FM will commence 24-hour broadcasting from next week. This marks a historic milestone for our state,” Hon. Fanwo stated.

He emphasized that His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has demonstrated a strong commitment to transforming various sectors in the state by investing heavily in the Ministry. This support has enabled the provision of essential facilities and equipment, ensuring that the Broadcasting Corporation is well-equipped for round-the-clock operations.

Hon. Fanwo highlighted the importance of radio as a vital medium for disseminating government programs, policies, and activities to a diverse audience. He noted that radio can be accessed anytime and anywhere, with or without a power supply, making it an effective communication tool.

The Honorable Commissioner congratulated Kogites on this historic achievement, stating that for the first time in Kogi State’s history, 94.1 FM will provide 24-hour programming. He encouraged citizens to tune in at any time to enjoy engaging programs designed to educate, entertain, enlighten, and inform.
