Kogi Head of Civil Service Sworn in as a Member of the Executive Council.

In a significant stride towards strengthening governance and enhancing administrative coordination, the Kogi State Head of Civil Service, Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa Esq., has been officially sworn in as a member of the State Executive Council (EXCO).
The swearing-in ceremony, which took place at the Government House, Lokoja, was presided over by His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo FCA, who reiterated his administration’s unwavering commitment to repositioning the civil service as a formidable engine room for effective service delivery across the state.

In his address, Governor Ododo emphasized the critical role of the civil service in policy formulation and implementation, noting that the inclusion of the Head of Civil Service in the Executive Council would further bridge the gap between policy decisions and execution. He described Hajiya Falilat Yusuf Musa Esq as a seasoned administrator whose wealth of experience and dedication to duty continue to inspire confidence within the state workforce.

The Governor charged her to bring her vast expertise to bear in the deliberations of the Council, particularly in advancing reforms that will enhance productivity, accountability, and professionalism within the civil service.

In her response, the Head of Civil Service expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency for the confidence reposed in her, describing her inclusion in the EXCO as both an honour and a call to greater service. She pledged to justify the trust by contributing meaningfully to policy discussions and ensuring that the civil service remains aligned with the administration’s vision for sustainable development.

Hajiya Musa further reaffirmed her commitment to fostering a results-driven civil service that prioritizes efficiency, innovation, and the welfare of workers, in line with the visions of the present administration.

The event was attended by top government functionaries, members of the State Executive Council, Permanent Secretaries, and other key stakeholders, marking yet another milestone in the ongoing efforts to reposition the Kogi State Civil Service for optimal performance.
