Kogi State government has put an end to the Ohi Unomi of Eikaland in a meeting with stakeholders today in Lokoja.
Representing the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo at the meeting, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr Salami Momodu Ozigi Deedat directed the Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area to withdraw the appointment letter of the current occupant of the stool to pave way for a comprehensive deliberation with more spread of stakeholders in attendance.
In their various responses, the Ohi Of Eika, Ohi Unomi of Eikaland, Adeika of Eika, Ohi of Uhuodo and Alhaji Yusuf Mamman from Eika expressed their willingness to tow the line of peace and commended the efforts of Governor Ododo towards peace, harmony and stability in the state.
