In demonstration of commitment to fairness and accountability, the Kogi State Government under the leadership of Governor Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo has paid off outstanding arrears to Staff of Gee Money Global Kleaners.

The State Commissioner for Environment and Ecological Management, Engr. Joseph Oluwasegun, disclosed this on Friday, 20-08-2024, while overseeing the ongoing payment exercise to the affected staff.


According to the commissioner, the  Governor mandated a thorough assessment, which led to the discovery of unpaid arrears by the former sanitation services vendor, Gee Money Global Kleaners prompting the government to settle the debt through the State Ministry of Environment and Ecological Management.

Speaking further, Engr. Oluwasegun said the staff of Gee Money Global Kleaners have been absorbed into the Ministry’s sanitation department, saddling the Ministry with the responsibilities of the state sanitation services and providing them with job security and stability.

He commended the state government for prioritizing workers’ welfare and fostering a clean and sustainable environment in Kogi State.
