Hon. Fanwo emphasizes the importance of full parental responsibility, highlighting the need for parents and guardians to instill moral and godly values in their children. He warns that children who are not properly raised pose a threat to society and the nation as a whole.

This message was delivered during a sensitization program organized by the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Kogi State Directorate at Big Brothers Hotel, Lokoja. The event focused on World HIV Day, Security Awareness, Shunning Get Rich Quick Syndrome, World Human Rights Day, and Tax Reforms.

The Hon. Commissioner, represented by the Director of Information Services, Mr. Sunday Adeniyi, stressed the importance of collaboration with NOA, security agencies, and other stakeholders to discourage the Get Rich Quick Syndrome among youths. He urged parents to educate their children on distinguishing between right and wrong, emphasizing that charity begins at home.

Furthermore, he discussed the tax reforms implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to offset the removal of oil subsidies. These reforms aim to prevent double taxation, exempt low-income earners, and provide essential services to the people. He encouraged support for the government’s initiatives.

Hon. Fanwo commended NOA for organizing a beneficial program and pledged the Ministry of Information and Communications’ full support in disseminating the message across the state through state-owned media channels.

The Director General of NOA, Mallam Isah Oniru, represented by the State Acting Director, expressed gratitude for the program’s impact on the community. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in improving citizens’ lives and encouraged continued collaboration for positive change.
