Governor Ododo Welcomes World Bank and NPC Officials to Kogi, Attracts Investors with Favorable Environment

Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State is extending a warm invitation to both national and international investors, highlighting the state’s favorable environment and abundant mineral resources.
Governor Ododo urged investors to consider bringing their investments to Kogi State to take advantage of the numerous mineral resources available. This call was made during a courtesy visit on Monday, 04-11-2024, by the Task Team of the World Bank and the National Project Coordination of the ACresal project in Lokoja.
With over 52 mineral deposits, Governor Ododo is confident that Kogi State is well-positioned for economic growth and development.
During the visit, Governor Ododo emphasized his administration’s focus on security and infrastructure development. He stressed the importance of unity among the people of the state and assured measures to combat crime and insecurity.
Dr. Joy Iganya Agene, the World Bank’s Task Team Lead, commended Governor Ododo’s dedication to the ACresal projects, pointing to Kogi State’s three active sites as evidence of his support.
Abdulhammed Umar, the National Project Coordinator, expressed gratitude to the governor for his contributions and encouraged him to prioritize access to project sites and worker security.
By fostering a conducive environment and capitalizing on its natural resources, Kogi State is positioning itself for sustainable development and economic prosperity.
