During a recent visit to the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman had the opportunity to meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss the security situation in Kogi State and the measures the state government takes to enhance security efforts.

Governor Ododo highlighted the ongoing efforts by his administration to improve the security architecture in Kogi State, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding the lives and property of all residents.

He expressed his commitment to continuously enhance security measures to ensure a safe environment for all citizens.

Additionally, Governor Ododo praised President Tinubu for his proactive approach to addressing food security challenges in the country.

He shared positive feedback from the people of Kogi State regarding the recent distribution of food palliatives, emphasising that this initiative will be an ongoing effort throughout the year.

The Governor also outlined plans to boost agricultural production in the state, including clearing land, providing subsidies to farmers, and improving processing facilities and market access.

Furthermore, Governor Ododo commended President Tinubu for the swift progress on federal road projects in Kogi State, particularly the Abuja-Lokoja-Benin road.

He highlighted the dedication of the federal ministry of works in ensuring the timely completion of these projects, reflecting the federal government’s commitment to infrastructure development under President Tinubu’s leadership.

President Tinubu, in response, praised Governor Ododo for his strong leadership and dedication to improving the state.

He assured the Governor of his continued support in driving positive transformation in Kogi State.
