By Abah Benjamin Eneojoh August 24, 2026 Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has commiserated with the family and people of Aduge Community in Ijumu Local Government Area over the death of the APC Divisional Chairman, Hon. Oyewole Solomon. The Governor, represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, paid a condolence visit to the community on Monday and described the death of Hon. Solomon as a great loss to the family, community, APC and the entire state. He described the deceased as a dedicated and upright party man who died while serving the party and strengthening its grassroots structure. The Governor said Hon. Solomon Oyewale was very dear to him, assuring the family that his administration would not abandon them at this difficult time. He also prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family and community the strength to bear the loss. Governor Ododo also assured the people of Aduge that the death of their son would not make government forget the community, adding that, by God's grace, “another Solomon will arise for the community.” urging them to be peaceful in the course of the burial rites.
