The Commissioner for Information and Communications in Kogi State, Hon. Kingsley Fanwo, has lauded Governor Usman Ododo for his groundbreaking efforts in promoting gender equality within his administration.
He said Governor Ododo’s commitment to ensuring that women hold 40% of critical positions is a historic stride towards empowering women and fostering gender equality.
Hon. Fanwo reaffirmed Governor Ododo’s unwavering commitment to women’s representation, citing the appointment of women to key positions within the administration.
He commended the recent appointment of a woman as the Director General of Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation as a testament to the governor’s dedication to gender parity in government.
While acknowledging Governor Ododo’s dedication to gender equality, Fanwo encouraged NWNN to collaborate with the government’s empowerment programs.
These programs, he said are designed to equip women with the necessary skills and resources to make meaningful contributions to society.
Fanwo emphasized the importance of instilling proper behavior in young girls, discouraging involvement in illicit activities, and highlighting the crucial role of women in nation-building.
The commissioner assured NWNN of the ministry’s full support for the organization’s objectives and pledged to provide extensive assistance in achieving their goals.
The remarkable progress made by Governor Ododo has garnered the attention of the No Woman, No Nation (NWNN) organization, which is dedicated to uplifting women across the nation.
