The Caretaker Chairman of Ajaokuta Local Government, Hon. Haruna Aliyu Ogido, has urged the residents of the area to uphold principles of fairness, transparency, and equity in the distribution of state palliatives.

Hon. Haruna Ogido emphasized the importance of just distribution during the launch of the rice palliative distribution at the Council secretariat in Adogo.

He highlighted that the palliative program is a crucial social investment initiative by the current administration aimed at alleviating the hardships and economic challenges faced by the people.

The chairman commended the state government, led by Governor Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman, for their efforts in bringing relief to the people of Kogi state.

He called upon party leaders and stakeholders in the 14 wards and communities to ensure a seamless and efficient distribution process.

Hon. Ogido warned against any attempts to sabotage or divert the palliatives, stating that such actions would be met with legal consequences.

He reiterated his dedication to serving the people of Ajaokuta to the best of his abilities, with an emphasis on an open-door policy to enhance the well-being of the community.

In his remarks, a community leader  in Ajaokuta LGA, Hon. Yusuf O. Yakubu, lauded the government’s initiative in providing food donations and pledged full cooperation in the distribution process.

He called for continued support for Governor Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman to ensure the delivery of more developmental projects for the people of Kogi state.
