Kogi Governor Wins National Excellence Award, Dedicates Honour to Kogites The Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, has been honoured with the Award of National Excellence for Outstanding Governance in Security and Youth Development by the Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment. The award was presented on Tuesday at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, during a ceremony organised by the Centre to recognise contributions to ethical leadership, governance and national development. The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Hon. Kingsley Femi Fanwo, represented Governor Ododo at the ceremony and received the award on his behalf. Reacting to the recognition, Governor Ododo dedicated the award to the people of Kogi State, saying the honour was a reflection of the collective efforts of his administration and the people of the State towards building a safer and more prosperous Kogi. The Governor said the recognition further reinforced his administration’s commitment to strengthening security, creating opportunities for young people and implementing policies that would improve the lives of citizens. He expressed appreciation to the Centre for Ethical Conduct Orientation and Empowerment for the recognition, saying the award would serve as encouragement to his administration to continue its development efforts.
