Information Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Charges Staff On Punctuality, Commitment To Official Duties

By Segun Adegboyega In an effort to continue alignment with the vision of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr Awulu Tijani David has charged the staff of the Ministry to remain committed, diligent and dedicated to their official schedules and duties, warning against abscondment from office. The Permanent Secretary gave the charge during a meeting with the staff of the Ministry on Tuesday in his office in Lokoja. Mr Awulu described the Ministry as the mouthpiece of the State, encouraging the staff to contribute meaningfully to the task of projecting the good image of the State to the outside world. He emphasized that Governor Ododo has remained committed to the prompt payment of salaries and other welfare programmes and appealed to them to reciprocate the gestures of His Excellency by ensuring diligence, commitment and discipline in discharging their official duties. "Let us know that the Ministry of Information and Communications is at the centre of Kogi Rebrand Project which of course should even take the lead, this is why everyone should be exemplary in conduct, particularly at office level", Awulu stated. He urged them to sustain peace, unity and maximum cooperation among themselves, assuring them that their challenges and welfare would be favourably considered through the Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry to His Excellency, the Chief Servant of the state. The Director Administration, Mrs Victoria Osanaiye in her remarks, reassured the Permanent Secretary of the staff continued commitment and cooperation in delivering quality service.

The Director Planning, Research and Statistics, Mrs Sanni Fatima in her response on behalf of the staff commended the Permanent Secretary for his fatherly love and advice, assuring him of continued commitment and dedication on the part of the staff.
