By James Sani The Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has announced plans to host the 2026 Kogi Youth Entrepreneurship and Business Grant Programme aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs across the state. The two-day programme is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, August 11, and Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Government House in Lokoja, beginning at 10:00 a.m. each day. The programme, themed "Different Contexts, Common Aspirations: Empowering Kogi Youth Through Business Grants," is designed to equip young people with entrepreneurial knowledge, financial management skills and access to business grants to support the growth of their enterprises. According to a statement issued by the ministry, activities on the first day will include business lectures, financial literacy sessions and business pitch presentations by participants. The statement added that the second day, which coincides with the 2026 International Youth Day celebration, will feature the presentation of business grants to successful participants selected through the business pitch exercise.
