The Kogi State Government urges all residents to comply with the following security measures aimed at protecting lives and property: - Total clampdown on all unregistered vehicles and motorcycles. - Demolition of buildings used for criminal activities and prosecution of their owners. - Churches and mosques should strengthen security at worship centres by working closely with security agencies. - Religious gatherings in vulnerable locations should be suspended until further notice. - Commercial motorcycle (Okada) operations remain banned in the Bunu hinterlands until further notice. - Markets in the Bunu hinterlands remain closed until further notice. - Landlords who harbour criminals will be treated as accomplices and prosecuted in accordance with the law. - Hotels must maintain complete and verifiable records of all guests. - Hotels are required to install and maintain functional CCTV cameras for effective security surveillance.
