In order to track the progress of the ongoing WAEC Examination in the State, Kogi State Commissioner for Education Hon. Wemi Jones on Wednesday Visited Okeagi Local Government Secondary School in Mopa Muro Local Government Area of Kogi State to monitor the Examination and inspect projects. He Commended the arrangement and orderliness of the Examination and warned against examination malpractice. The Commissioner accompanied by the Member representing Mopa Muro State House of Assembly Hon. Jacob Olawumi equally inspected the renovation of 3 blocks of classrooms by Henry Adetayo Foundation at the Okeagi Local Government Secondary School, Mopa. The Commissioner who was elated by the volume of work being done by the Foundation Commended them for keying into the School Adoption and Mentorship programme of the State Government where individuals, corporate bodies are encouraged to look for schools and add value to learning and teaching in the State as Government cannot do it alone. He stated that the School Adoption and Mentorship programme of the State is to restore the glory of Education and promote the involvement of stakeholders in supporting education; thanking the Okeagi Foundation for supporting the State to enhance the educational development of learners. Hon. Jones encouraged well to do individuals and corporate bodies to buy into the programme as the challenges in the education sector required the collective effort of all stakeholders to ensure a safe, accessible and conducive environment in Schools.
