Kogi Works Ministry Inspects Completed, Ongoing Road Projects in Okene, Okehi, Adavi LGAs

  The Kogi State Ministry of Works on Tuesday led a delegation on a tour of completed and ongoing road projects across Okene, Okehi, and Adavi Local Government Areas. The Commissioner for Works, Hon. Barr. Abdulsalami Momodu Ozigi Deedat, led the inspection team. At the newly completed Ogaminana–Obangede–Oziokutu Road, he noted the project’s impact on residents. “This road connects several communities. It was in a deplorable state before, but its completion has brought immense relief to the people,” Deedat said. The road spans approximately 8–9 kilometers. He attributed the project’s success to the administration of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. “The Governor has made Kogi people proud by positioning the state above its peers. Kogi is now experiencing peace and visible development,” the Commissioner added. Community members at the various project sites expressed appreciation for the completed roads, noting improvements in their daily lives and economic activities. They commended Governor Ododo for his strides in infrastructural development and for prioritizing the welfare of Kogites. Hon. Barr. Deedat urged residents to support the present administration and adopt a maintenance culture to ensure the roads serve them for decades. The delegation also visited the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, to inspect internal roads and new buildings. The Vice-Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Salawu Abdulrahman Asipita, received the team and conducted them around the campus. Students who spoke during the visit thanked Governor Ododo for improved comfort, infrastructure, and campus security. They pledged to make the university, the state, and their parents proud in their future endeavors.
