By Musa Solomon After Contract awards and Mobilizations, Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones on Monday began the inspection of the renovation of Government owned Public Schools spread across the Local Government Areas of the State under the AGILE Programme. This is in furtherance to the Flag-off of the 728 Renovation of State Owned Public Schools by the State Executive Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on the 2nd of April, 2026. According to the Commissioner, the inspection was to ensure that contractors work in accordance with the contract specifications and standards. The Commissioner charged the contractors handling various projects not to compromise standards in the execution of the projects, saying that the State Government will not condone any shoddy job. Kogi State Government he said is committed to ensuring that learners and teachers have a conducive environment to learn and teach. He reiterated the Governor's commitment to revamping the Education Sector and called on the contractors to deliver the projects on time. The Commissioner was accompanied by the AGILE State Coordinator, Comrade Tijani Oricha, the Special Adviser on Education, Hon. Abdulmalik Abdullahi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education Mr. Alabi Albert Bamigbade and some Staff of the Ministry and AGILE.
