By Sa'adatu Mohammed Jumai Following government's commitment to safeguarding lives and property as well as avoiding traffic congestion, the management team of Kogi State Ministry of Transportation alongside Sarniams Concept and Fleet Management Limited swiftly on Tuesday visited New Zango, Abobo Trailer park in order to a certain compliance. The visit was as a result of the dissatisfaction of the State Chief Servant, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo's over the indiscriminate parking of trailers on road shoulder, occasioned by attendant criminal activities. Addressing the Executive Members of the Abobo Trailer Park, New Zango, the Honourable Commissioner for Transportation, Atuluku Victor Levi emphasized the current administration’s determination to consolidate on the key accomplishments of previous administrations and address the widespread issue of insecurity. He charged the trailer drivers to strictly comply with the directives of the State government to avoid unpleasant consequences through enforcement, stressing that Government remains committed to ensuring orderliness and safety on roads. He noted that the follow up visit was premised on the need to ensure strict compliance with the directives of the state government to put the activities of trailer drivers under check, with the aim of reducing incessant road crashes and crimes in the state. The Honourable Commissioner charged them to comply with the directives of the state government to avoid drastic measures of enforcement.
