The State Project Coordinator, Kogi for Women Project Scale-Up (KFWP-SU), Dr. Esther Ameadaji has said Kogi state is uniting forces with women groups to bring about development, socio-economic empowerment and improved livelihoods for women.
The state coordinator made the statement when she alongside her management team hosted the executives from Shade’s Let Her Rise Foundation in her office,in Lokoja the Kogi State capital.
In her remarks, Dr. Ameadaji expressed her enthusiasm to welcome the foundation, highlighting the KFWP-SU’s mission to empower women by enhancing their livelihoods through capacity building, mentorship, and technical support. She emphasized the importance of uniting women to amplify their voices, ultimately contributing to the development and promotion of peace within families, communities, and the nation as a whole.
She rolled out the activities being carried out by the office to include institutionalizing women groups , building their capacities, giving technical support and urged them to to always reach out for more information that can be beneficial to their business growth.
Addressing the SPC, Bar. Mercy Joshua, the spokesperson for Shade’s Let Her Rise Foundation, articulated the foundation’s interest in collaborating with NFWP-SU in empowering omen entrepreneurs through financial iteracy
She emphasized that such a partnership would complement their advocacy efforts, aiming to uplift and empower women, thereby providing them with greater opportunities for growth.
In response, Dr. Ameadaji assured the foundation of her support and the readiness of NFWP-SU to assist in their initiatives where necessary.
Earlier,the State Project Coordinator had hosted different women groups, No Woman No Nation, Pan African Christian Women Alliance group, Jamiya Matan Arewa, Eleojo Igala Women for Ododo/Joel and Royal Women Group respectively
She reiterated that the Governor Usman Ododo’s administration is committed to uplifting women’s livelihoods,build their capacities and make them relevant in the society.
