The Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning, Hon. Asiwaju Idris, who is currently in Morroco, has affirmed that the state’s participation in the 2024 African Investment Forum, taking place in Rabat, Morocco, will significantly improve the state’s economic development prospects.

This year’s theme, “Leveraging Innovative Partnerships for Scale,” encapsulates the core mission of the forum to unite diverse stakeholders in amplifying transformative investments throughout Africa.

The Commissioner highlighted that with an inspiring outlook projecting the African market to swell to about 2.5 billion people by 2050, this year’s Market Days present a unique opportunity to catalyze dialogue and collaboration across the continent.

He stated that under the visionary leadership of His Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Kogi State stands at the forefront of this transformative journey.

According to the Commissioner, Kogi State is strategically positioned to attract viable investment opportunities and is committed to fostering an enabling environment that supports innovation and partnerships.

Hon. Idris added that the engagement at the forum will not only showcase Kogi’s immense economic potential but will also emphasize the benefits that successful partnerships can bring to our dear state

While outlining some of the key benefits of Kogi State’s engagement in the African Investment Forum, the Commissioner noted that attracting Investment is key, and our participation will open doors for both foreign and local investors.
