Kogi Guarantees Implementation of Gender Equality In Education.

Kogi State Government has assured the participants at the ongoing workshop for the Domestication of Gender Equality in Education that the State Government would to a step further to implement the policy for the growth and development of education in the State .
The State Commissioner for Education Hon. Wemi Jones, gave the assurance on Thursday in Lokoja while monitoring the progress of the workshop on the Domestication of Gender Equality in Education and Its implementation.
He stated that the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo would Implement policies that would bring all inclusive and equitable learning environment in the State.
The State Government he said would do everything humanly possible to implement the policy for the economic growth and development of the State.
Hon. Jones who Commended the participants for agreeing to participate in the assignment, urged them to come up with workable document for implementation.
He said that prosperity would blessed them as they undertake this all important task.
The State Coordinator for Drafting the Gender in Education Policy Dr. Elizabeth Animoku Ahman assured the Commissioner that at the end of the exercise the State would have a document that would address all Gender issues in Education.
Kogi State she said is one of the few states in Nigeria trying to demonstrate the policy.
Recalled that Agile project on Tuesday 18th of March begun a five days workshop for the domestication of National Gender Equality in Education and Its implementation in Kogi State.
In attendance was the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education Dr. Jibrin Saidu Alhaji.
